Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years fulltime/ 0.8 FTE practice within the last 5 years
  • Completed relevant post-graduate papers, minimum post graduate diploma and preferably master's in nursing
  • Accredited via or meet accreditation criteria of the Aotearoa College of Diabetes (NZNO) national accreditation process and have achieved a minimum of 'Of Proficient Diabetes Nurse' on the National Diabetes Knowledge and skills framework (2018)
  • Experience in diabetes care is preferred
  • NZ Citizen or hold a NZ Permanent Visa
  • RN with a current NZ APC

About the Team/Service

Our Diabetes and Endocrinology Service Team provides specialist nursing care to patients in our district. We work closely with other health professionals to assess and manage clients within their clinical context using nursing knowledge and skills.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of our healthcare team who is working towards an increased level of professional autonomy in collaboration with other health professionals.
