Job Summary:
A Surgical Scheduler Management Professional is responsible for supporting the Surgical Scheduling Team and HCA Leadership. The successful candidate will serve as the primary resource for procedural scheduling across all service lines, ensuring quality patient registration and scheduling while maintaining positive telephone etiquette and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule procedures for all service lines while adhering to compliance requirements.
- Ensure accurate data entry of patient demographics, insurance verification, plan codes, authorizations/referrals, orders, guarantor type, HAR/patient class, bedding of patient, etc.
- Verify insurance and benefit eligibility through RTE and payer portals.
- Review EPIC and outside orders for compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Track and report weekly on scheduled services.
- Responsible for EMR documentation/tasks in telephone encounters, in-baskets, e-fax, work queues as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in a medical or office setting management role.
- Outstanding organizational skills, typing 35-45 WPM, medical transcription required.
- High School Diploma; Associate degree preferred.
