We are seeking a medical professional to join our Maternal Mental Health Team in South Auckland. The team provides assessment and treatment to pregnant women and infants up to 12 months old. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be engaged in core clinical activities such as treatment planning and the development of recovery-oriented interventions that are culturally relevant to our service users and their whaanau.

The role is primarily focused on assessment and treatment to pregnant women though does have interface with our Whakatupu Ora Infant Mental Health team. You will have a focus on early intervention, experience in working with whanau and excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with a wide range of services and professionals on intervention plans.

We welcome applications from overseas candidates who have vocational registration with the MCNZ as a Consultant Psychiatrist and experience in developing therapeutic relationships with caregivers and infants or children.
