Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Midwifery Manager to join our team at Wellington Hospital Maternity Unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in providing senior clinical midwifery support and guidance to the midwifery team.

About the Role

This part-time fixed term position requires a Clinical Midwife Manager with a minimum of 5 years' experience in midwifery practice across the full scope of primary, secondary, and tertiary settings. You will be responsible for working across the midwifery scope, rostered shifts, and providing holistic care to whanau and their babies.

About the Team/Service

Wellington Hospital Maternity Unit is a modern, purpose-built unit catering for the needs of women and their whanau. Our team includes midwives, obstetric medical doctors, anaesthetists, healthcare assistants, administration officers, and cleaners. We work closely together to provide excellent patient care and outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be registered with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand and have a current APC. A Master's Degree in Midwifery or evidence of working towards one would be advantageous. Experience across the scope of midwifery, particularly LMC experience, would also be beneficial.
