We're seeking an experienced Integrated Operations Engineer II to join our pioneering team. As a key member of our Integrated Operations team, you will be responsible for integrated testing and operations of all major products at Rocket Lab USA, primarily charged with launching Electron, as well as performing major system testing for Space Systems and Neutron Products. You will also be responsible for configuration, checkout, and operation of Test and Launch facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a command of various disciplines related to testing and operations. You will typically be skilled in multiple operational roles, including test and operational lead roles where you will direct other operators during testing and operations. You will routinely mentor and train other operators and take a leadership/ownership role in Integrated Operations projects and process/tool development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement efficient testing and operations procedures and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and testing of new products.
  • Lead and participate in training programs to ensure operator proficiency and knowledge transfer.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for testing and operations procedures and processes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in engineering design, test, and/or operations.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed schematics, drawings, and instructions.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and contagiously positive.
  • Proven communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Careful work ethic with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
