Job Description

The Electron team at Tangram is responsible for building, testing, and launching our Electron rocket across various launch sites and test facilities. As a member of this team, you will work closely with other technicians to assemble and integrate mechanical and avionic components onto the Electron launch vehicle.

Your responsibilities will include installing wiring harnesses and high-voltage batteries onto the rocket, as well as working with tools, equipment, and facilities to build and test launch vehicles or components.

This role requires a versatile skillset, including precision avionic and/or mechanical assembly experience. You must be able to demonstrate 2+ years' relevant experience, have a good level of eyesight, and be able to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install mechanical and/or avionic components, wiring harnesses, and high-voltage batteries onto the Electron launch vehicle.
  • Work with tools, equipment, and facilities to build and test launch vehicles or components.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of work performed.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in precision avionic and/or mechanical assembly.
  • Good level of eyesight and ability to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standard.
  • Able to manufacture components to a high workmanship standard.
  • Trade qualified in relevant industry (nice to have).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomously.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings.
