We are seeking a Programme Support Specialist to join our team in Te Wananga O Aotearoa. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our Home-Based Learning Programmes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of Home-Based Learning Programmes by providing administrative assistance.
  • Organise and conduct whanaungatanga visits for new cohorts of students to ensure strong connection and understanding.
  • Confirm student enrolment within set periods, document programme inductions, and accurately record all relevant details.
  • Apply best practices in assessment principles and communicate assessment results to students.
  • Develop, implement, and review tailored support strategies for individual students, ensuring their needs are met.
About You

We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications:

  • NZQA/unit Standards 4098 – Uses standards to access candidate performance Level 4 or New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice Level 4.
  • Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education Level 5 (NCALNE).
  • Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching Level 4 and Certificate in Tikanga Maori Level 3 or Te Reo Maori Level 1 or higher is desirable.
  • A full clean New Zealand Drivers' License.
  • 2-4 years' experience in education, mentoring, coaching, facilitation, or learning support.

As a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
