About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Test, Acceptance & Programme Management. As a member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our Public Safety Network (PSN) project.

In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end site programme plan, ensuring that regional milestones are met and all activities are managed smoothly from Build Completion Test (SAT) to regional acceptance.

You will lead a team of Delivery Managers, each responsible for driving end-to-end project management of site groups, as well as Test and Acceptance Managers who will coordinate and manage Coverage Testing (CVT) and acceptance processes with our key stakeholder, NGCC.

This is a fixed-term position until December 2026.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the overall programme plan for network build, ensuring alignment with regional milestones.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration across cross-functional teams, driving a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Identify and address potential risks, providing mitigation plans to keep the project on track.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the CMC, Executive Group, and Board.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with a no-surprises approach - escalate issues early and provide solutions.
  • Ensure successful completion of CVT testing in each region to meet milestone targets, coordinating with NGCC on any issues or non-conformities.
  • Manage resources effectively to complete CVT and acceptance tasks within scope.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Provide guidance and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support the CEO as required and undertake additional responsibilities as necessary within the scope of the role.

About You

  • You will have 5+ years' experience in senior programme management, ideally in the technology or telecommunications sector.
  • You will have a proven track record of motivating and managing high-performing teams to deliver results.
  • You will have a professional and collaborative management style.
  • You will have strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • You will have experience with Mobile/LMR networks.
  • You will have confidence in communicating at Executive and Board level.
  • You will have a positive, energetic approach and a genuine desire to support and work with others.
