We are seeking a skilled Education Coordinator for Health and Physical Activity to support the implementation of the Healthy Active Learning initiative in selected schools across Otago. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Principals and senior staff at these schools to provide advice and customised support around the strategy, planning, and development of systems that contribute to an active and healthy school.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with Boards of Trustees, Principals, and senior staff to provide advice and support around the implementation of the Healthy Active Learning initiative. They will also support the development of plans and strategies to promote health and wellbeing in schools.
Main Objectives- Support the development of plans and strategies to promote health and wellbeing in schools
- Work with school leaders and teachers to better plan and implement the Health and PE and Hauora curriculum
- Identify opportunities for quality physical activity experiences for tamariki
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with school Principals and senior staff
