About This Role

Company Overview

The Engineering Associates Registration Board is a statutory body established under the Engineering Associates Act 1961. Our mission is to determine the acceptable standards of academic and technical training, experience, responsibility, and appropriate technical qualifications necessary for registrations.

Key Responsibilities

We are responsible for confirming an applicant's eligibility for registration, supervising the maintenance of the Register, and issuing registration certificates and other records. As a Board member, you will be expected to commit time to Board business, including attending meetings and contributing to discussions.

The Cabinet Fees Framework sets our time commitment and remuneration. The current daily rate is $583 per day. You will also be eligible for travelling allowances and expenses, as per the Fees and Travelling Allowances Act 1951.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to Chair and manage meetings
  • Understanding of associated engineering trades education and training issues
  • Sound appreciation of the duties and responsibilities associated with a statutory position

You should also possess strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively within the Board. Additionally, you should have:

  • Ability to constructively discuss issues facing the Board and participate toward a consensus for action
  • Commitment and integrity
  • Interest in the careers of Technician and Technologist Engineers
