Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Student Central Advisor to join our team. As the primary point of contact for learners, this role requires exceptional communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Enrolments: Ensure accurate and efficient registration for learners.\
  • Issue ID Cards: Promote campus security and access by distributing ID cards.\
  • Provide IT Support: Assist learners in using digital resources effectively.\
  • Offer Course Advice: Guide learners in selecting courses that align with their academic goals.\
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary liaison, addressing learner needs and concerns in a timely and effective manner.\

Requirements

We seek a highly organized and motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills, who can build strong relationships with learners, staff, and external partners. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • \
  • An understanding or desire to learn te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori.\
  • Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments.\
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in resolving issues professionally.\
  • Awareness of issues related to equity, disabilities, and cultural and social needs.\
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.\
  • Effective organization skills, including the ability to work under pressure.\
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.\
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to going the extra mile.\
  • Considerable knowledge of the New Zealand education system.\
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.\
  • Intermediate skills in Office computing applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Outlook.\
  • Previous international student advisory experience, work experience in the tertiary education sector, knowledge of our programs, experience with Enterprise systems (e.g., PeopleSoft), and foreign language skills.\
