Job Description

The Patient Financial Navigation Advisor acts as the patient's liaison from physician order to complete billing cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete a comprehensive analysis of patient insurance, including verification of benefits, prior authorization status, and patient liability.
  • Provide clear estimates of patient financial responsibility for services, including office visits, testing, surgeries, and procedures via phone, written correspondence, or MyChart communication.
  • Collect or arrange payment according to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle registration, health insurance, patient financial responsibility, and point-of-service collections, specifically with health insurance plans.
  • Proficiency in working with payer on-line portals and NaviNet, Passport, or other third-party eligibility systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Medical Terminology, Health Insurance Plans, and Patient Out-of-Pocket financial responsibility.
  • EPIC system experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with patients, clinicians, physicians, and administrators.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
