**Job Title:** Crisis Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team at Starship Child Health. As a key member of our Paediatric Social Work team, you will provide expert support to children and their families in times of crisis, utilising your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and achieve positive outcomes.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families, working in a dynamic and supportive team environment. You will be responsible for providing crisis intervention services, including assessments, interventions and support to individuals, families and groups. Your expertise will also be used to develop and implement strategies to prevent crises from occurring, promoting healthy relationships and resilience in the community.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Advanced degree in social work or related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
