The Role

We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join our team in South Dunedin. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. You will work closely with our clients to develop personalized care plans that cater to their unique needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, personal cares, and home management;
  • Accompany clients on community outings and integration activities;
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients;
  • Follow a care plan, which may include medication administration and other tasks as required;
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and support.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate between $23.38 up to $29.10 per hour, depending on experience. You will also have the opportunity to earn while you learn through free training towards NZQA Health & Wellbeing. Additionally, you will receive a travel allowance and a work phone.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do;Previous healthcare or caregiving experience is desirable, although not essential;Excellent communication skills;Healthcare qualifications are advantageous;A full NZ driver's license and reliable transport.
