About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Airfreight Operations Coordinator to join our team at Wexco Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising the cargo capacity of flights operated by airlines from New Zealand, developing and managing relationships with customers, and providing exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in airfreight industry, proven customer service skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage relationships with customers (freight forwarders) to provide high-quality customer service.
  • Manage cargo reservations and bookings based on available capacity, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan cargo loads on flights, prioritise shipments, and send instructions to Ground Handling Agents (GHAs) for execution.
  • Foster strong working relationships with airline and GHA teams to resolve service problems and ensure timely resolutions.
