The University of Auckland's Mass Spectrometry Facility is a dynamic group of scientists who are passionate about mass spectrometry. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Technologist. This role will involve supporting Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry based research and analytical services, primarily in the field of Proteomics.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Research, develop and apply appropriate sample preparation and data acquisition protocols
  • Perform data interpretation and analysis as required
  • Liaise with researchers from a wide range of disciplines
  • Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation, including mass spectrometers

What You Will Need

  • BSc in Biology or Chemistry, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in biological sample preparation and analysis
  • Familiarity with mass spectrometry data analysis software
  • Proficient with interpretation and presentation of mass spectrometry data
