Employee Relations Assistant

As an Employee Relations Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the HR team with employee relations, recruitment and talent management activities. This 12-month fixed term contract will provide you with a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience in Human Resources.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Entering and maintaining data in our HR systems.
- Responding to HR queries and providing information to our employees.
- Drafting employment agreements and variation letters.
- Running monthly data audits and checks.
- Supporting the wider HR team with companywide initiatives.
- Facilitating our weekly HR inductions and conducting exit interviews.
- Facilitating the weekly attendance committee.
We are looking for someone with:
- Ability to communicate in both a verbal and written format, to a very high standard.
- Strong customer service ethic and superb attention to detail.
- Proven experience in using Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to form relationships at all levels to enable you to partner successfully with customers and the wider HR team.
- HR related tertiary qualification.
- Basic knowledge of NZ employment legislation (preferable).
- Exposure to HR systems and/or previous experience in a similar HR administration role would be an advantage.
