**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Therapist to join our team at Te Whatu Ora Lakes. As a key member of our Allied Health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role:

This part-time (up to 24 hours per week) fixed-term role is available for 12 months, covering parental leave. You will be based at Rotorua Hospital and support both inpatient and outpatient care, with some opportunities to visit Taupo Base Hospital.

As a Speech Language Therapist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your skills and experience will enable you to develop generalist skills in multiple areas, including FEES, VFSS, and stroboscopy clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to patients with communication disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in delivering care in a hospital setting, including use of FEES and VFSS.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A deep commitment to addressing equity issues within our community.
  • NZSTA registration.
