The Role
We seek an experienced Registered Health Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive and holistic support to individuals with disabilities, maximizing their wellness and independence. This role involves working closely with our supported living homes in Tauranga and Rotorua, providing timely access to health services, and advocating for optimal healthcare outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Promote health and wellbeing among individuals, families, and staff
- Ensure timely access to health services, including primary care and specialist services
- Act as the clinical interface between DHB Clinical Specialists and Primary Care, advocating for optimal healthcare outcomes
- Identify early health issues that may impact quality of life and develop interventions to reduce negative experiences
- Participate actively in health and wellbeing service plan reviews
Requirements
- Current practising certificate as a Registered Nurse
- Proven experience in the health/disability sector
- Willingness to maintain and update nursing skills and knowledge
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of nursing principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated excellence in the provision of holistic care
