The Role

We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in clear communication over the phone and email, as well as 1+ year's proven experience in dispatching, preferably in the recycling, waste management, or short-haul industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for dynamically taking customer queries, issues, and adaptations to their collection requirements and implementing them into existing driver runs that day. They will also maintain clear and professional communication with drivers to address errors and operational concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Dynamically take customer queries, issues, and adaptations to their collection requirements
  • Implement changes into existing driver runs that day
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with drivers
  • Review and monitor previous, current, and upcoming day's runs to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Assign correct trucks for bin drop-offs and collections in the most efficient way possible
  • Collaborate with drivers to improve run sequences and report recommendations to sales support

Requirements

  • Proficiency in clear communication over the phone and email
  • 1+ year's proven experience in dispatching, preferably in the recycling, waste management, or short-haul industry
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and administrative proficiency
  • Experience with ERoad and route optimization systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication of the solution
