Auckland One Rail is seeking a Train Manager to join our team, someone who shares our values and is passionate about delivering high-quality passenger train services in Tāmaki Makaurau.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires working a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. You'll be responsible for managing the onboard environment, communicating with passengers, and resolving any issues that may arise. Your ability to think critically and work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential to success in this role.

To succeed in this role, you'll receive comprehensive training at our Wiri depot and on-the-job training across the network. Uniforms and PPE will be provided to ensure you're equipped to perform your duties safely and efficiently.

About You

We're looking for individuals who share our passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. You'll need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a commitment to health and safety. Physical fitness is also essential, as you'll spend a lot of time on your feet.

You'll also need:

  • The right to work in NZ (NZ Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
  • A full, clean, current N.Z. Driver Licence.
  • Exceptional communication and fluency in English.

Safety critical role requirements include pre-employment checks which include an assessment, video interview, in-person interview, satisfactory criminal history check, drug & alcohol testing, ACC check, medical examination and references.
