**Role Overview**

The Senior Adviser Health, Safety & Wellbeing is a key position within Border Clearance Services at Biosecurity New Zealand. This role focuses on providing expert advice and guidance to enhance operational management of health and safety across the organization.

Key responsibilities include working closely with region managers to improve health, safety, and wellbeing capabilities and systems. This includes developing and implementing effective risk management strategies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

In addition to these duties, the role requires travel to various locations as part of the job requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in occupational health and safety or relevant operational roles in a medium to large organization.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to implement health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Exceptional oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage and coordinate work processes involving others.
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to work under pressure.
