Role Overview
We are seeking talented individuals to join our team as Graduate Analysts in the New Zealand Government's Treasury department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping Aotearoa New Zealand's future and working on significant pieces of advice across large and influential portfolios.
Job Description
As a Graduate Analyst, you will be part of our 18-month graduate development programme. The programme provides extensive learning and development opportunities, enabling you to grow and build valuable experience and skills. You will work on varied projects, including macroeconomic and fiscal policy, modelling, research, and forecasting, with three streams available: Macroeconomic, Capital and Commercial, and Policy, Performance and Advisory.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to improving New Zealand's wellbeing through your work in macroeconomic and fiscal policy, modelling, research, and forecasting.Work on significant pieces of advice across large and influential portfolios.Collaborate with a diverse group of people to tackle New Zealand's biggest and most interconnected issues.Develop trusted and collaborative relationships.Communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A university degree (preferably majoring in economics, finance, accounting, or law).The ability to adapt to an ever-changing work, political, and economic environment.Excellent analytical thinking skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A commitment to diversity and inclusive practices.Personal integrity and an honest and ethical approach.Benefits
