About Us

We are part of the New Zealand Government's health system, firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Our team provides specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services for individuals presenting with recent onset functional mental health problems or dementia with significant behavioral and psychological symptoms.

We work in partnership with patients, whānau, General Practitioners, other clinical teams and community carers and supports to achieve the best possible health outcome for our patients.

Role Overview

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join our high functioning, collegial, interdisciplinary team. We are seeking a highly motivated and preferably experienced Clinical Psychologist with an interest in older adults who values working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow up of clients in a community setting.
  • Work together with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the complex needs of clients.
  • Contribute to service development activities, research and evaluation-related activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Psychology and Post graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
  • Registration with NZ Psychologist Board, with Clinical Psychology Vocational Scope of Practice.
  • A sound knowledge of psychopathology, and psychological theories.
  • Experience in working with Inpatient and/or Community Older Adult MH Services (preferred but not essential).
