Mental Health Specialist

At Healthcare of New Zealand, we strive to provide high-quality care and support services to individuals with disabilities. As a Behaviour Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality services based on a positive behaviour support framework.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with our clients, their families, and support networks to develop and implement behaviour plans that promote independence, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality services based on a positive behaviour support framework
- Develop and implement behaviour plans with clients and their families
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes
- Provide education and support to clients and their families
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or 3+ years' experience in the disability field
- Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Workers, Behaviour Therapists/Specialists (BCBA's), Teachers
- Experience in the field of disability and/or behaviour support
- Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) where required
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current full New Zealand driver's licence
