This casual contract offers flexibility and autonomy, enabling you to work across the full scope of midwifery practice. You'll have opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge in various areas, including theatre, outpatient clinics, and community-based care.

We value our midwives' contributions and offer developmental opportunities tailored to individual needs and interests. Our clinical coaches provide guidance and support, ensuring a seamless transition into new roles or responsibilities.

In this position, you'll work collaboratively with an integrated team to deliver high-quality care, prioritizing patient-focused practice and personalized service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary and secondary maternity care for approximately 1800 pregnant individuals per year in the Hutt Valley
  • Work collaboratively with health professionals to support excellence in maternity care
  • Participate in the development of individualized care plans, prioritizing patient-centered practice
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues, stakeholders, and patients

About You:

  • Hold a current APC with the Midwifery Council of NZ
  • Demonstrate ability to work well in an integrated team environment
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Show adaptability to change and willingness to perform non-midwifery duties as required
