Acurity Health Group Limited is a leading healthcare provider seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team. This role will play a critical part in maintaining the company's financial stability and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

**Job Description**

The Financial Controller will be responsible for performing balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, and revenue calculations. They will also contribute to the preparation of monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflows) with analysis and commentary.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, and revenue calculations
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflows) with analysis and commentary
  • Support tax duties, including PAYE, GST, and Provisional Tax preparations and payment processing
  • Assist with annual budgeting activities, statutory accounts, and compliance with Stats NZ surveys
  • Handle daily and weekly tasks such as bank reconciliations, payroll journals, and payment approvals

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Business Central Finance System and familiar with the accounting cycle
  • Skilled in bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships across teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
