About the Role
As a Genetic Clinic Coordinator, you will play a vital part in supporting the clinical staff of the Genetic Health Service New Zealand (GHSNZ) Central Hub. Your primary responsibility will be to provide intake assistant support, utilizing databases, protocols, and triage tools to facilitate equitable and patient-centred triage and booking processes.
Your daily tasks may include reviewing referrals received by the service, gathering information to support clinical assessment and triage through interactions with patients/health care providers. Compassionate communication is essential when discussing sensitive family history information and talking to individuals who are in distress.
