Key Responsibilities
This role combines both administration work and contact with patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing referrals received by the service and gathering information to support clinical assessment and triage
  • Providing compassionate communication when discussing sensitive family history information and talking to individuals who are in distress
  • Supporting the clinic administrators with referral management, data entry, reception duties, and routine office administration

About the Work Environment
You will be working in a small and close-knit team who encourages a supportive and positive work environment. The hours of this role are negotiable, but we are mainly looking for someone who will cover the afternoons during the week. This role offers a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, making a real difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by inherited health conditions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with confidence in using a range of databases. A commitment to diversity and cultural safety is also essential. Experience in the healthcare sector would be an advantage, but we encourage applicants from various backgrounds, including genetics, psychology, nursing, and social work.
