Job Description:

This role has been designed to provide examination of our centralised CCTV systems, and alarm/access systems as part of product loss investigations, Health & Safety incidents, and other purposes as required.

You will assist in identifying where maintenance may be required, and respond to requests from the business. We are seeking a candidate with a proactive and preventative mindset to security services.

A large portion of this role will include communication with people right across our business, when responding to requests or carrying out maintenance, and therefore having the ability to build and maintain positive, trusted relationships at all levels of our organisation is a key requirement of this role.

We are looking for someone with experience within a similar position, or experience in a similar role which translates to this environment. A law enforcement or investigation-related qualification would be advantageous.

  • We require use and management of security systems, particularly CCTV systems, or alternately a clear willingness to learn those skills on the job.
  • Understanding of operational environments, preferably courier, mail, freighting, or warehousing environments.
  • Proven ability to communicate successfully with people at all levels.
  • Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and translate CCTV and alarm/access system data/information.
  • Ability to deliver security systems training when required.
  • Familiarity with NZ Customs, Police, and other public sector agencies' scope and operations is an advantage.
  • Strong communication - both written and verbal.
  • Excellent relationship building/management.
  • Proven ability in making sound and accurate decisions after assessing a range of options.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply customer service focus in a security environment.
