Ever wondered about the magic behind parcel delivery? It's a tale of teamwork, cutting-edge and data-led technology, and some truly awesome people. All united by one mission - to deliver for New Zealand. Ready to be a part of that story?
As part of NZ Post's Integrity Services team, this role has been designed to provide examination of our centralised CCTV systems, and alarm/access systems as part of product loss investigations, Health & Safety incidents, and other purposes as required.
While using the systems, you will also assist in identifying where maintenance may be required, and you will also respond to requests from the business. As our Integrity Services team has a "prevention first" mindset, we are seeking a candidate with a proactive and preventative mindset to security services.
A large portion of this role will include communication with people right across our business, when responding to requests or carrying out maintenance, and therefore having the ability to build and maintain positive, trusted relationships at all levels of our organisation is a key requirement of this role.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will ideally already have experience within a similar position, or experience in a similar role which translates to this environment. A law enforcement or investigation-related qualification would be advantageous.
Ideally, we are seeking the following skills and experience:
- Use and management of security systems, particularly CCTV systems, or alternately a clear willingness to learn those skills on the job.
- Understanding of operational environments, preferably courier, mail, freighting, or warehousing environments.
- Proven ability to communicate successfully with people at all levels.
- Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and translate CCTV and alarm/access system data/information.
- Ability to deliver security systems training when required.
- Familiarity with NZ Customs, Police, and other public sector agencies' scope and operations is an advantage.
- Strong communication - both written and verbal.
- Excellent relationship building/management.
- Proven ability in making sound and accurate decisions after assessing a range of options.
- Knowledge and ability to apply customer service focus in a security environment.
The full list of requirements is available to view in the JD for the position.
