This includes designing and implementing test plans, writing test cases, and executing functional and regression testing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Testing sites and applications for functional, cross-browser, performance, and usability defects.
  • Documenting user experience interactions and use cases in test plans.
  • Providing timely and meaningful feedback on requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
  • Liaising with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify, analyze, and define business and system requirements.
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities.
  • Coordinating software releases and deployments.
  • Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using Specflow, Selenium, Webdriver, and other appropriate tools.
  • Providing time estimates to assist in project scheduling and account for QA in project executions.
  • Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs.
  • Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products to meet business needs.
  • Communicating throughout project execution with developers and other QA using video conferencing, instant messaging, and collaboration tools.
  • Monitoring debugging process results.
  • Tracking quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

  • Proven technology experience in the development or QA of web-based systems and sites.
  • Experience with tracking and task management tools, such as FogBugz, Jira, Bugzilla, Trac, Hiptest, Testrail, Zephyr, and others.
  • Strong understanding of web technology and components, including HTTP and web services.
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.

  • CI/CD tools and processes experience.
  • Analyzing user stories and defining acceptance criteria experience.
