With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers' missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs.
They set up the assembly kits that enable our technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard.
They are the chain that links our teams together and are critical to our success.INCOMING QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR - CMMIncoming Quality (IQC) Inspectors - CMM are responsible for ensuring all purchased materials conform to our highest quality requirements through technical inspections of parts/assemblies and verification of technical documentation against engineering drawings and other applicable requirements for acceptance into flight stores for production use.

Join a driven team that's tackling challenging projects, delivering on exciting missions, and making an impact on the future of spaceIn this role, you will work Morning Shifts, Thursday to Sunday, 6.00am - 6.00pm.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:Quality Inspection of mechanical and electromechanical parts/assemblies using CMM to ensure products conform to Rocket Lab drawings and quality requirements.Data entry of manufacturer serial/batch/lot numbers into ERP system to maintain traceability and accurate records.Review of inspection reports/records to confirm RL requirements have been met.Maintenance of accurate records and documentation.Initiating non-conformance tickets and sharing with wider applicable teams.YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:2+ years experience in the inspection of mechanical/electromechanical parts and assemblies.Experience in using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges - height, thread, pin and other similar measuring equipment.2+ years experience and skilled in the operation and programming of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and/or non-contact measuring equipment.Ability to understand engineering drawings.Understanding and experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).Familiar with Microsoft office suite products – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Experience working in a manufacturing environment ideally with experience around quality processes.Ability to learn & operate new equipment safely.Proactive, enthusiastic, self-motivated and open to learning new skills.Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.Well organized with high attention to detail.Robust communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.Experience working in manufacturing industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical or aviation will be highly valued.WHAT TO EXPECTWe're on a mission to unlock the potential of space to improve life on Earth, but that's not an easy task.
