We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Development Expert to join our team in the Cost Recovery directorate. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our cost recovery policy frameworks, ensuring that clear and repeatable processes are established for regular updates to fee regulations.

Your expertise will be essential in providing practical and robust cost recovery policy advice, using evidence from a range of sources, to support decision-makers on how to use cost recovery as a regulatory tool and to enable performance improvement. This may involve developing strategic, innovative, and effective advice to complex problems.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to apply critical thinking to ensure that cost recovery practices are aligned to state sector good practice and linked to planning, budgeting, and performance systems. You will also facilitate updates to cost recovery regulatory settings.
