Job Description:

At Blackjack Paving, we are seeking a highly skilled Parking Lot Laborer Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks involving physical labor at parking lots and roadways. This includes operating one or several types of maintenance equipment, such as push blowers, wire brooms, and crack seal melting pots. Additionally, the candidate will be required to prepare surfaces for seal coating and crack filling, apply seal coat materials, and perform manual labor tasks like shoveling and brooming.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clean surfaces prior to seal coating or crack filling using push blowers and wire brooms.

2. Prepare surfaces utilizing asphalt crack cleaners to open cracks before filling.

3. Apply crack fill materials using crack seal kettle wands and melting pots.

4. Apply seal coat materials using long-handled squeegees and spray wands.

5. Perform manual labor tasks like shoveling, brooming, and raking.

6. Operate equipment as trained, including occasional operation of heavy machinery.

7. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, be able to work in a team environment, and have a strong work ethic. You should also be physically fit, able to lift and carry at least 50 LBS regularly, and willing to work in a variety of weather conditions. Furthermore, you must be able to travel and work away from home when required, and be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
