About the opportunity
Pan Pac Forest Products is a fully integrated company with three operational areas: Forests, Lumber and Pulp. As Health and Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance across all operations, meeting the obligations of a Major Hazard Facility.
You will report to the General Manager, People and Culture and lead a team of three: Health and Safety Advisor, Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, Health and Safety Systems Administrator.
Your role is to champion health, safety and wellbeing strategies that are practical, effective and aligned with business needs. Your ability to balance compliance with operational realities will be key to your success in this role.
In partnership with the Executive team, you will:
- lead a positive safety culture through visible leadership, audits, inspections, communication, mentoring, support, and continuous improvement.
- ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements, helping the business navigate the complexities of operating a Major Hazard Facility.
- collaborate with divisional Health & Safety Advisors, providing practical support to help them achieve business goals, while maintaining a strong safety culture.
