The Role
We are seeking a Cultural Advisor who will be a role model and provide sound clinical and cultural considerations in the multidisciplinary team process. The successful candidate will have a relevant graduate qualification and registration in a recognized discipline, with a strong understanding of mental health in young people.
About You
As a Cultural Advisor, you will work in an emotionally challenging and changing environment. We require someone with sound knowledge and experience in individual counselling and support, who can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of cultural concepts and Maori Models of practice.
Our Team
The Central Regional Forensic Mental Health Service operates at the interface between Mental Health Services and the Justice System. We offer assessment and rehabilitation services to defendants charged with criminal offences and offenders who have psychiatric illness. We also work with the Youth Court, providing a Court Liaison Service and completing specialist psychological or psychiatric assessments.
