About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Maori cultural leader to provide in-depth guidance, advice, and strategic direction at clinical and cultural levels within our Forensic and Rehabilitation services. This role reflects Te Ao Maori and requires a strong understanding of Tikanga.
About Our Team
Our Mental Health Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) encompasses Central Region Forensic Inpatient and community services, Youth Forensic service, and Inpatient Rehabilitation and Extended Care Services. We cover the Central Region from Tairawhiti on the East Coast across to Whanganui and south to Wellington and Wairarapa.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to mental health services on issues relating to Tikanga Maori
- Maintain the Kawa and Kaupapa of the service
- Foster good relationships and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence the practice of others
About You
Our ideal applicant will have knowledge of Tikanga, proficiency in Te Reo Maori, and experience working independently or as part of a team. You will be able to provide evidence of your ability to work effectively with diverse groups and make decisions that promote equitable outcomes.
