About the Opportunity

The University of Auckland's Te Papa Manaaki | Campus Care team is seeking a skilled Wellbeing Advocate to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to make a positive impact on the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students to overcome barriers to success and minimize health impacts.
  • Coordinating communication with those involved, including the person who raised the concern, the student(s), and other parties as appropriate.
  • Link students to appropriate support, from internal self-help information to external specialist services, and document advice in a support plan.

About You

We are looking for a registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with experience working with people who may be facing mild to severe mental health concerns. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or a similar field.
  • Current membership of a relevant professional body.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with or providing mental health support to students or young adults.
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of case management and its application to support services.
