Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team at Spectrum Care. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing assistance with daily activities, such as community participation, socializing, work or education, personal cares, and domestic chores.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a young adult with physical and intellectual disabilities. You will be working closely with them to help achieve their goals and aspirations, promoting independence and confidence in their abilities.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities in their own homes and out into their community.
  • Assist with daily activities, including community participation, socializing, work or education, personal cares, and domestic chores.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to promote independence and confidence in individuals' abilities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:A strong passion for supporting people with disabilities and promoting independence.An ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.Reliability, commitment, and a willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
