Sarah Selwyn is a modern, purpose-built care home featuring 80 beds, located within Selwyn Village. We provide hospital-level care, ensuring a supportive and comfortable environment for our residents.

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Care Partners (Caregivers/Healthcare Assistants) to join our team at Sarah Selwyn in Selwyn Village on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our Elders and contribute to their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide residents with safe care and daily support in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their needs are met with patience, understanding, dignity, and respect.
  2. Assist with personal hygiene care, assisting at mealtimes, and cleaning duties.
  3. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care services.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 months NZ working experience ideally in aged care.
  • Eligibility to work in NZ permanently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • An outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
  • Empathetic and caring nature.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Level 3 or higher NZ Health and Wellbeing qualification is desirable.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate between $26 and $29.10 and provide weekend allowances. You will also have access to free parking and enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere and supportive work environment.
