Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity The Nurse Specialist – Maori Health role has a focus on Maori as a population group and requires dual expertise in Maori health advocacy and advanced clinical practice.
The role is informed by specialist knowledge of long-standing Maori Health inequities and the systemic barriers which continue to impact the achievement of equitable health outcomes for whanau Maori.
The Nurse Specialist – Maori Health will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to provide expert advice, care co-ordination, resources and support to healthcare professionals engaging with whanau Maori.
We are looking for a Nurse Specialist - Maori Health, to join our expanding Intermediate Care team.
Te Toka Tumai's Intermediate Care service is comprised of a 60 bed virtual hospital ward which delivers hospital-level acute health care services, offering a safe alternative option to hospital care, utilising our Interim Care Programme within Aged Residential Care (20 beds) and our Hospital in the Home (HiTH) services (40 beds) within our patient's home.
As a virtual ward within Te Toka Tumai, clinical safety is assured with expansion of the multidisciplinary team to include: Medical oversight Nursing, including Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialists and RN's Allied Health, including Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and P
