About Us

The Department of Conservation (DOC) is a government agency responsible for protecting and restoring nature in New Zealand. Our mission is to ensure that our natural environment thrives, supporting the well-being of both people and wildlife.

We are currently seeking a Facilities Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our property management unit, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient management of our property portfolio.

About the Role

  • You will work closely with regional and district teams to ensure that our properties are well-maintained and meet all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Your focus will be on managing facilities management contracts, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating upkeep and repairs.
  • You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to local regulations and Health and Safety standards.

What You'll Need

  • A strong customer-centric focus and excellent project management skills.
  • Qualification or experience in property, business, asset maintenance management, valuation or related fields.
  • 3+ years' experience in a facilities management role.
  • A working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience with EAM/SAP or similar systems.
