This role is essential to our mountain's personalities and contributes to delivering on our purpose.

Job Summary

This is a guest service role that requires you to greet passengers at various locations in Queenstown and transport them in a safe, friendly, and informative manner to and from our ski fields.

You will transport our guests on our Express Service as well as delivering transport for the ski field staff.

  • Drive in a way that maximises fuel efficiency and guest comfort.
  • Follow schedules and timetables while carrying out dispatchers' instructions.
  • Help with bus loading and ticket/pass collection, and manage queues.
  • Respond to weather and road conditions.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service to all NZSki guests.
  • Provide an informative and friendly guest commentary.
  • Efficiently fit, remove, and store snow chains.
  • Manage customer complaints and queries properly.
  • Identify and report hazards to the leadership team.
  • Maintain clear, concise, and timely two-way radio communications.
  • Ensure bus start-up checks and procedures are completed correctly each morning.
  • Mainatin a tidy bus interior throughout the day.
  • Ensure the bus is fuelled and cleaned to the required standard at the end of each day.
  • Take responsibility for all equipment and uniform allocated.
  • Attend staff meetings and engage with team communication.
  • Have opportunities for additional casual, part-time, full-time, and evening shifts.
  • Complete all tasks as directed by the leadership team.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need to exceed our guests' expectations with personable hosting and professional driving standards.

This job can be physically demanding and requires a reasonable level of fitness.

You'll be willing to assist in other departments and take on additional duties as required.

Understand that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and hours of work cannot be guaranteed.

Qualifications

At least a valid NZ driver's class 2 or 4 license.

A New Zealand class 2 license and P endorsement must be obtained prior to commencement of employment.

Proven driving skills on snow and ice would be beneficial.
