Job Description

This role reports to the Underground Maintenance Superintendent and involves efficient planning, scheduling, and proactive parts acquisition for all Heavy Mobile plant and Ancillary equipment maintained by the Underground Maintenance Department.

The successful candidate will develop, manage, and control short- and long-term plans.

They will work closely with the maintenance team, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure resources, materials, and schedules align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining safe working environments through compliance with Health & Safety Programs
  • Backlog management, including weekly and monthly reviews, and purging of aged work orders
  • Maintaining backlogs to effectively manage maintenance work tasks and schedules
  • Determining required parts on each work order and verifying availability
  • Organizing and maintaining statutory compliance-related work with contractors and internal departments
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Analyzing maintenance data to ensure data integrity and continuous improvement
  • Managing forecast plans to align maintenance activities with mining production plans

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, maintenance, or a related field
  • Experience with Pronto Xi (CMMS) highly desirable
  • Demonstrated strengths in organizational, planning, and resourcing skills
  • Sound computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office functions, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Leadership or supervisory experience highly regarded
