Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tour Guide to join our talented team at Dark Sky Project. As a Tour Guide, you will have the unique opportunity to combine guiding and driving our manuhiri (visitors), sharing your knowledge and passion for astronomy with international guests. You will work alongside our world-class Astronomy Centre on Takapo lakefront, bringing to life the science of stars and Tatai Aroraki (Maori astronomy) through an immersive and engaging experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in astronomy guiding or a diploma in astronomy or a related field.
  • Confidence in public speaking and interacting with customers in a customer-facing role.
  • Fluency in English.
  • A full and clean New Zealand driver's licence.
  • P-Endorsement (or ability to attain one).
  • Class 2 driver's licence (or ability to attain one).
