Speech Language Therapy Role

This role involves working with children and young people who require additional support with their speech and language development. You will work closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other specialists to develop effective strategies for supporting these individuals.

  • Understanding the impact of speech and language difficulties on daily life.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans.
  • Coordinating with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
Essential Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Speech-Language Therapy or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and young people with speech and language difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of the principles of Te Tirirti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga.
