Job Description

We are seeking a collaborative, passionate, and well-organised Learning Support specialist to lead our team as the Head of Learning Area (HOLA) from Term 3, 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop culturally responsive and achievement-centred relationships with students and their whanau.
  • Identify individual student needs and develop accessible programs to meet those needs.
  • Design and coordinate programs that grow the confidence of individuals in literacy and numeracy, particularly, and support their sense of belonging in the school.
  • Ensure every student can find personal and academic success in ways that nurture their dignity, purpose, and future options.

Requirements

  • Excellent pedagogical knowledge of learner/learning support.
  • Ability to work effectively with others to achieve the best possible results.
  • Commitment to collaboration and supporting the special character of the school.
