**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Regional Operations Group as a Treaty Implementation Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of vital conservation initiatives in collaboration with our Treaty partners.

About the Team:

The Regional Operations Group is responsible for delivering conservation work on the ground through various teams. We are committed to developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with whānau, hapū, and iwi to develop and implement conservation initiatives.
  • Supporting coordination of regular meetings with whānau, hapū, and iwi to review and amend implementation of relevant agreements, charters, and protocols.
  • Identifying gaps in Treaty settlement implementation responsibilities across the District and working with the Operations team to plan for and remedy these gaps.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, with a heightened sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to engage effectively with mana whenua and willingness to learn karakia, pepeha, and local tikanga.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and work with others to deliver results.
  • Knowledge of the Tāmaki Makaurau iwi landscape and familiarity with Treaty settlement processes.
