We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our treaty implementation efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our Treaty partners and ensuring that our conservation efforts align with their aspirations and cultural values.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Fostering positive relationships with whanau, hapu, and iwi, and supporting the development of their internal capabilities to practise their responsibilities as kaitiaki.
  2. Coordinating regular meetings with whanau, hapu, and iwi to develop, review, and amend implementation of relevant agreements, charters, and protocols.
  3. Keeping up to date with changes in the Tamaki Makaurau iwi landscape and sharing this information with Operations.
  4. Identifying gaps in Treaty settlement implementation responsibilities across the District and working with the Operations team to plan for and remedy gaps.
